No more friend!!! :(

Ok, so I don't know how many of you have heard about my constant friend over the last several months, but *sniffs* he finally died. :( I guess the torture of being jarred and banged around finally took its toll. So, what I'm trying to say....I GOT A NEW MUFFLER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No more hearing it bang around under my car when I'm driving down the road, no more hearing it rattle when I start the car in the morning. I am ecstatic!!!!!!!!!!!!

So here's my old muffler, still connected.
If some of you don't know what a muffler is, just follow the exhaust pipe and you'll see it.
Daddy taking his SawzAll to it.
Not sure how many of you, if any, have ever looked inside the tube of a muffler.
Well, it's not supposed to have those big rust holes in it like mine did.
All the metal that rusted off is what was making the loverly rattling when I drove.
Shiny, brand new, beautiful muffler!!!
No more sounds. Bliss!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's funny, Mommy just pointed out that my profile says that this blog will be a window into a dancers life. Yeah well this is this dancers life, complete with cars, prom, horses and whatever else I've blogged about. Hope you guys are still enjoying it!!!

Prom '11

So Brooke at the florist in town asked me to come in and help her with prom orders last Friday. I complied because I LOVE making boutonnieres and most of the time the kids are happy with them. We do get the occasional complaint that the flower looks dead but they wanted it spray-painted brown so what do they expect?? But we do get some special orders that are fun to make. Here are some pics of what Brooke and I did. She made the wristlets and I did the boutonnieres. :D

We tipped these guys to make them purple

This one was fun to make!!
I wish I got to wear this one
Gerbs are such happy flowers!!
This one was my favorite to make
Brooke was having quite a time figuring out how to make this one work
A lot of the kids wanted feathers this year, it must be the 'thing'
Modeling this one was cool.
The girl who wore this one had a leopard dress,
so Brooke  didn't use a wristlet band, she used wire to attach it to her arm.
You can see the front wire on my hand.

Spring!!!

Is it just me, or is there someone else that thinks it's too hot for April? I mean really!! I shouldn't be wearing a tank and shorts until Memorial Day. Well a couple exciting things have happened as of late. The first is that I got the Spirit Award at school for winter quarter, which means I had 95-100% of attendance and a 4.0 GPA. I was so stoked when the student services director called my name for the award. :D And I think, still not 100% sure yet, that I'll be dancing in North Park on May 15th for their annual street fair. Very excited about that! First rehearsal is this Saturday for 1.5 hours in which we have to learn the whole dance in one rehearsal. Hopefully it wouldn't be to mind boggling and I can get it in one sitting. Oh I have to share this with you. In dance class on Wednesday we were doing sautes, a jump from 2 legs and landing on 2 legs, in first position, heels together and toes pointing out to the sides, all the way across the floor. Leah, a friend I've made there at San Diego Ballet and I went first and then the rest of the girls followed. Our teacher Javier stopped us before we could go across the floor again and walked out into the middle of the floor and stood with his hands on his hips looking at us and said in a very drawn out manner. "We are not doing this exercise in honor of Easter. You all look like you're imitating the Easter Bunny that visited your house on Sunday." All us dancers were cracking up laughing, it was very comical. And then he began to jump up and down and with each jump up he pushed his chest out and caving in his shoulders when he landed. We got the picture of what he didn't want us to do, but hey at least we all got a good laugh!!!

Home Sweet Home!!!!

This is amazing, I actually get a day at home with nowhere to go until 5:00 tonight. So exciting!!!!! How my schedule is this quarter I don't have school on Friday, but I do on Saturday. : / It's not as bad as I thought but still. Looking out at our backyard everything is getting green from the rain, and the lawn is getting longer and longer and longer... Well, gotta go do some stuff around the house, see ya later!!! :)

S.C.H.O.O.L

OMGOSH, am I happy finals week is over!!!! Now I get to start a new quarter! Tomorrow is my first day/class of quarter 2 and I get to have my teacher from Anatomy & Physiology teach my Pathology class, yay!!!!! I don't know my final grade for most of my classes yet but I do know that in my Massage Essentials class I passed my practical, a test on the massage itself, with a 97% and the whole class with a 93%. I was and am ecstatic!! Hopefully I'll get my other results soon. Oh and my teacher the massage class said that she would love to have my apply to be a TA for her in an upcoming quarter :) So this quarter it seems that I have 3 lecture classes and 1 hands on class. I also have lab on Saturday. No I'm not dissecting my client but I am giving 1 public massage every Saturday and then some lecture time after that. So this quarter should be fun, I hope.

Annie get your gun!!!!!!!

I was able to practice my shooting this past Sunday, so exciting!!!!!!! We have a very large dirt hill in front of our garage and Daddy and I will shoot into that, through cans and plastic bottles of course. I shot our .22 and Daddy's Colt single action revolver .22 mag. This was my first time shooting the revolver and it took me by surprise by how loud it was, with no warning as to what it was going to do my ears were ringing for a couple of minutes after that shot. But all in all it was a fun day of blowing up cans and plastic bottles!!! Here are some victory trophies!!
My trophies!!! The plastic bottles didn't look as impressive so no pics of them.
This one is by far my favorites!!! I actually shot through the top rim and
pulled the flap on the inside off to a weird angle.
The 2 Dr. Pepper cans and this Coke can are those really
small ones and the Pepsi cans are normal size.

(left to right) .22 mag, powderless .22, .22 long rifle and .22 short.
These are all empty, spent, shells.

Real?

Do you believe that what you believe is really real? ~ Dr. Del Tackett

If any of you have watched the Truth Chronicles you'll know who and what I'm talking about. I don't know if that's exactly how it's worded but that's pretty close. I was coming home from dance tonight and this song came on the radio. I had listened to it a couple times before but I really stopped and listened this time. It's amazing how many things in it are so true right now from our family and for a lot of families out there. It's kinda funny but it sheds some light on things that I didn't think about very much. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!!!         www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_Q75Qnrvzk
